GETTING DIRTY - ON THE ROAD WITH MIKE DREW

June 13 to 15, 2025

This three-day workshop is for landscape and wildlife photographers who seek a guided adventure along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Mike Drew, one of Calgary's most beloved photographers, will lead the workshop along the stunning Sibbald Creek Trail.

The weekend kicks off Friday evening at Studio1130 with a meet-and-greet social evening and some great conversation. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. As well, everyone will receive an autographed copy of Mike's photography book: ‘On the Road with Mike Drew,’ courtesy of The Camera Store.

Most of you are likely familiar with Mike’s long-time photo documentary column in the Calgary Sun and Calgary Herald newspapers. This is your chance to go on the road with Mike and learn about how he finds and creates his stunning imagery.

Saturday will start in the studio classroom before we head out for an afternoon and early evening of shooting with Mike. Sunday we will be back in the studio (bring your laptop - Photoshop software â€‹required) where you will learn from Mike how to take the images you captured and make them absolutely POP. The weekend will wrap up with a critique and draw for an autographed Mike Drew print!
